How will these events benefit my child if they already attend a performing arts school?

Training centres are such encouraging friendly environments, however, audition spaces can often be full of new people, quick paced and nerve-wracking. Our Audition prep workshops teach you to feel safe and confident in an audition room just like your training centre makes you feel comfortable on stage.  As teachers in performing arts schools, we know that there isn’t always chance to focus solely on audition preparation. There is so much focus on technique and preparation for performance which is fantastic but auditioning is a whole different skill in its self. In order to prepare for performances, you get weeks to learn routines, in auditions you get minutes. This is a completely separate skill to your training that is essential if you want a carer in the performing arts.

What do you have catered for young people solely interested in dance?
Not every audition and drama school prep workshop will be Musical Theatre based. We have lots of different events planned for dancers including Cruise style auditions and Show Masterclasses. Keep updated on our website and social media sites for all events and feel free to contact us with any requests or enquires regarding upcoming events.

Can anyone of any age attend your Workshop and Masterclasses?
All our workshop and masterclasses will come with a recommended age range depending on the content of the Masterclass/Musical or type of audition. We aim to provide a variety of opportunities for all ages from 5 - 21.

Can any ability attend your workshops and Masterclasses?
In short yes! Our Masterclasses especially are for anyone who is interested in a particular event. Our Audition Prep workshops are more tailored for those who want to progress in the performing arts. Having said that anyone can come and test out their skills. Even though we hold these workshops like real auditions we still provide a safe and encouraging environment for each performer. Why not try one out and see for yourself.

Is there a membership fee?
No. We hold separate events. Just like going to watch your favourite musician, you would buy your ticket for that specific gig. Even though we provide regular Masterclasses around the North our professionals are all still working. So if you see an event you are interested it may not be repeated so grab your ticket when you can.

What is the difference between an Audition Prep Workshop and a Drama School prep Workshop?
Audition prep Workshops are catered to all ages, those who want to improve technique for professional auditions as well as those just wanting to test out their skills. Drama School auditions are drastically different and are catered to those wanting to gain a place in further education at a top drama school which is post 16yrs. We provide extra knowledge, advice and guidance as we keep up with what is expected at these auditions.

Do parents/Guardians need to stay and watch?
No. We do not let adults watch the Audition prep workshops as this is not true of an audition process. We may invite you to watch a short extract at the end of a  Masterclass which you will be informed of on the day. There may be space within each venue for you to wait if you have travelled far which you are more than welcomed to do.

What do participants need to wear?
Something that you can move in and allows us to see your alignment. Any dance shoes, trainers or bare feet would be recommended to coincide with our health and safety.

Do you provide regular classes where my child can train?
Currently, no we do not. We provide Workshops and Masterclasses that go on top of your childs current training. If you are looking for them to attend a full time school/academy look at our partners page with our recommendations in your area.
