As past students and current teachers, we are aware of the importance in guiding trainee performers to become professionals when they leave an educational setting. We believe that a main factor of this is to prepare students for the process of auditions which is why we decided to start our workshops. We offer the opportunity to experience the specific structure of various different auditions such as Drama school, Cruise, Film and many more which can be carefully chosen by course leaders for their students. We will deliver specific feedback, as well as delivering a mock audition, not only on physical practice but also on performance CV’s, headshots and even song/ monologue choices. Our aim is to build confidence and knowledge to stand out from the crowd when taking the first steps to a chosen career.
A Chorus Line West End Masterclass @ Chesterfield College
The wonderful Tutors at Chesterfield College had asked us to organise a 3 hour West End Masterclass for their BTEC Performing Arts students and who better to have than Becky Herszenhorn. Becky has been in musicals such as Chicago, 42nd street and the choice of masterclass today was A Chorus Line. Those tentative students that first entered the room moaning and groaning when they were made to run in a circle really stepped it up. Some by the end were dripping with sweat from hard work which I really commended. Most of the group took this opportunity to work with a West End professional and completely ran with it giving it their all. We really hope that we see them again at other events. For more information about the day see our Blog in the 'Past Events' section or find the video on our Facebook.
